During our livestream yesterday with Steve and Baron I noted that Steve called the book "The Battle for Thuneworld". Apparently I've been messing up the title!
Book THREE is "Return to ..." (You'll have to wait for that information!)
Steve is writing, penciling, lettering, and inking Thuneworld. We have a great editor on board, our Gourmando hardcover designer is returning, and Glenn Whitmore is currently scheduled for coloring as funding allows.
I just finished formatting the script and adding the title page ... and updating the title (see below samples from the publication!)
Originally meant as just a simple bonus, "The Battle for Thuneworld" Ashcan #1 is pretty amazing. It's 40 pages, includes 19 script pages (14 actual pages) , 19 lettered and ink story pages, 1 page of thumbnails and pencils to fill out the book plus an introduction written by Steve. Paper used is the same we use for our sketchbooks so thicker stock, archival safe and overall worthy of being a COLLECTOR's EDITION. Cover is in full color and interior is all black and white.
In the 1930's , an ashcan was a protype comic that was used to secure title copyrights. Rather than take the time to develop new characters or plots to go with the new title, a publisher simply took pages from a previous comic book and pasted the new title on the cover.
The concept of the ashcan was given a more modern meaning in 1984 when one comic book creator produced a limited number of black and white prototype comics for his friends and staff. In more recent times, several publishers have released small runs of ashcans in a variety of sizes and colors as promotional items for the full-production versions.

We heard from a few people they were having issues backing any level due to inability to "choose a country". We've reached out to Kickstarter in an effort to fix the issue.
